ARRG MATEY, PLUNDERED TREASURE AHOY!

So we did it, my mom and I crashed 2 different Goodwill stores (personally, Pasco is my favorite-cleaner, better quality stuff, and more to choose from than the Richland store)! After working both stores over and digging through to the bottom of 2 GINORMOUS piles of jeans, we accomplished our mission and then some.

I walked out of there with 8 new pairs of pants (7 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of cargo pants, & 2 belts-1 spankin' brand new one even!): we're not big on name brands at my house, but if we find good ones for cheap then its icing on the cake-and let me tell ya, my icing was a few pairs of Calvin Klein (mom says they're built real well), a pair of Diesel, a pair of Silver (another of my mom's fav kinds since they're supposed to last forever), a pair of Arizonas, and a pair of Lucky Dungarees (mom said they're practically indestrucible). My cargos are Old Navy...all in all, not shabby.
I also came away with two BRAND NEW Converse One Star dresses! (Mom says they're "overstock" from Target): the black silky one is fun and feels cool, the navy one is what my mom calls a jumper, so I'll have to layer with it. Both go past my knees so I LOVE that they're modest and AREN'T PINK!
~
Mom said we got a steal! All that for less than the price of one pair of jeans if we'd bought them at the mall. Now I understand better why mom doesn't like to go to the mall very often. So, since we saved tons of money and none of my jeans will be immodest now, let's just say that my dad is very very HAPPY with us!

BYE BYE BIRDIE!

...we're glad to see you go! So my dad told me the other day that all my jeans HAD TO GO! Something about them being paint jeans---I was thinking that meant they were scrubby, but my mom explained that meant they were immodest cause they were fitting a bit snug. So, my mom & I are off to goodwill! I can't wait, cause I LOVE Goodwill! My mom always finds the cutest things for me, and we ALWAYS save money! Its a shame that some people never get to fully enjoy their clothes before they grow out of them, but then again I'm grateful they still have some wearing to be done! Hope your weekend is peachy...I'll let you know of our great treasure-finds. XOXO

New Pix!

So, my mom just went through and got these ready to go. Even though it was a chilly evening, we still had fun! What do you think?

Big ol' HOWDY to you from me!

My cousin Amber & I stayed up sooooo late last night watching Prince Caspian and it was soooooooooo AWESOME! It was the best movie I've seen in a while! I love it more than The Lion, Witch & The Wardrobe ( and I absolutely LOVED that one)! So, if you haven't seen it yet, GO GET IT! Don't even rent it, JUST BUY IT!!! Christmas is just around the corner. Can't wait. This is my favorite time of the year thanks to all the get-togethers and yummy goodies...speaking of, my cousin and my parents and I are going be busy in the kitchen all day making my favorite treats. Idle Isle candies, cookies, peanut brittle (even though I can't have any this year because of my braces!), and FUDGE!!!! It'll be so fun! What are some of your favorite goodies?

Happy Belated Halloween to Everyone!

Last night was soooo much fun! First, we went to the Progressive Halloween Carnival (and my mom & I hosted "EyeBall Soup"-it was so grody and yuck and AWESOME!). It was the best getting to spend time with all my friends-Mattie, Zaylie, Marinda. Then I got to go see my Gramma Debbie & Grandpa Steve for an hour, and then my Grandpa Doyle. My mom and I had such a good time that before we knew it the clock said 11:30pm and my Aunt Alaire was walking through the door in her chimney sweep costume (though she was zombie-fied and headed straight to bed). I was super tired and ready to crash too, so we said goodbye to Grandpa and Mom brought me home. I was so tired that I don't even remember walking up the stairs to my bed. So, that's it. Halloween 2008 was SMASHING! Hope yours was just as lovely and that today is wonderful!

Angel Eyes

Hey, Daisy here, just checking in for the first official time from my blog! I'm so excited to have this up and going. I've been begging my mom for MONTHS...and she finally said yes. What a relief! (below you'll find one of my favorite picture creations of my mom's)...believe the magic or not, yes-that's me and no-I'm not part smurf. She calls it angel eyes, and my aunt Jenelle says she wants to use it for the cover of her next cd. So, maybe because she's gonna get famous I will too? Only time will tell. Hope today taught you something and tomorrow's a mystery you're looking forward to solving!
